Mare island naval shipyard

This week I had a field trip to mare Island Naval shipyard close to Vallejo California. I met up with Nick and we headed over there to meet with our class. For me and Nick was our first time going here so me personally I didn’t know what to expect. I would hear people talk about how nothing has changed since this shipyard was build. We walked around for a couple hours took photos then when it got darker I got excited for the simple fact that I just purchased a shutter release cable for my camera. And it was going to be my first time really using it. I was really pleased with the night photos they came out great in my opinion. The exposures or anywhere from five minutes to 30 minutes the last shot was taken with 10 shots combined each shot was 5 to 7 minutes I’m not sure I forgot.

week

Just been chilling trying to use my 50 1.4 more often. These are the photos of this past week. Went to in-n-out next day went to restaurant called Brown sugar kitchen. First time going I heard a lot of great reviews on it. I really enjoy the cornmeal waffles but the chicken was the best part I didn’t really enjoy the apple cider syrup but overall it turned out to be a good choice. Next time I go back I will get regular syrup

He talked us about photography as a business and a career a Lotta important information and helpful for me and others his studio is really unique before wide variety of different things collected through the years. From his vintage cameras to guitars this place had a lot of interesting toys it reminded me of a swap meet ahah. After class me and Nick went to cream to get ice cream sandwich.

After getting back to the US I was in the mood to eat so that night I went out to eat at chicken and waffles. It was my first time going to chicken and waffles besides going to roscoes in LA. I enjoyed this chicken waffles more for the simple reason that the chicken taste better the one in LA was small and not that great.

Last night in hong kong

This was my last night in Hong Kong was sad to leave but had to leave in the morning. So I took a taxi to the port and tried to get a photo of the Hong Kong skyline it was about 11 o’clock by myself with expensive equipment in the dark foreign place. I know I was taking a chance by going there by myself but I really wanted to get a shot of the skyline. Once I got there it was quite windy plus I did not have a tripod. I wish I would’ve purchased a tripod before I went on my trip but it did not come in the mail till I got back. Anyways all of the shots or long exposures for 30 seconds. The first two shots are of this skyline in Hong Kong the first one was shot with a fisheye and the second was shot with a 24-70. Since I didn’t have a tripod what I have to do was be my own tripod so I went and look for anything even to put my camera on. It was really hard to do so some of the photos did not come out well out of all the photos I took that night these are the best results. For someone to take a longer exposure shot it’s best to use a tripod but since I was on my trip I know I didn’t want to carry around a tripod in first place. After I took the photos I walked for a while and then got a taxi back to the hotel once I got in a taxi that taxi driver was surprise not from me just being black but me being out there by myself and not in a dangerous area. I told him that I was a soldier not just kidding but I did enjoy my time in Hong Kong and I can’t wait to go back.

china part 2

We end up going to pinocchio macau restaurant.

Description

One of the most popular restaurants on Taipa, this place specialises in Macanese cuisine for the masses. The building is huge, as is the menu which is extensive. Apparently designed to cater to large groups of people, this eatery is also fine for a cosy rendezvous. The food is deftly prepared. The duck and curried crab both come highly recommended. Tasty is the keyword here.

I personally did not think this restaurant was as good or hyped as people say it is. The food was pretty good but at the same time the price was way too high for a small portion of food. I understand this restaurant is a place for tourists but at the same time all the workers there seem very cocky and borderline rude. After we left the restaurant we walked around for a couple hours so then we went to the galaxy casino and hotel. This place is massive and is basically a five-star resort. Hopefully next time I come back I hope you stay here. After we were done at the galaxy we went back to eat dinner I didn’t know in China they make sprite different this sprite had me bouncing off the wall it has more calories than the US also it has energy. I’m not sure if that’s what makes you jittery or not but it was crazy. After that we took the turbo boat back to Hong Kong.

China part 1

Today I woke up at 6 AM after only getting about four hours of sleep we took the the taxi to Hong Kong then from Hong Kong we got on the turbo boat to China. Once we got to Macau there’re so many interesting places. Macau is like Las Vegas for China. After getting off the boat we walked around for a while to sightsee. Once we walked around for a while we started to walk up the street I don’t know the name of it but on every side of the street there were places selling beef jerky. The meat was very good everyplace l give out samples so we would go to each place and get a sample so by the time we got to St Paul’s I was full. After we left St. Paul’s we took a taxi and went up to Macau tower once we got to the top of Macau tower it was kind of overcast but once you stepped out of the elevator you immediately seen the glass floors it was pretty crazy I can only describe it as going to Chicago to the Sears Tower. What’s pretty cool about the tower is that you can bungee jump guy, job skywalk and mast climb if you’re into that sort of stuff. Once we left the Macau tower we went to get something to eat.
