STRAW SF

After passing by this restaurant almost every time I come to San Francisco I decided to try it with Mary. This area is not the easiest place to find parking but got lucky and found some parking less then 100 feet away. When I got there my first impressions were this restaurant caters to children. And 10 minutes later kids start coming in with their parents. I really like their appetizer menu and main menu on terms of design. The appetizer menu is on a ping-pong and the main menu is in kids books. I thought that was really creative I also give you goldfish for snacks aha.

I ordered: root beer float

Glass bottle root beer with vanilla ice cream

For appetizer: Fireball

cinnamon sriracha Buffalo wings with cinnamon cream

Entrées: Fried chicken and waffles monte christo

Fried chicken strips/Belgian waffles/raspberry jam/Swiss cheese/Maple syrup with powdered sugar.

The ringmaster: grilled chuck Burger/homemade glazed donut/cheddar cheese with bacon and fried eggs

The food was pretty good except it could have had a little more flavor also the appetizer with the cinnamon was kind of weird. Nonetheless I wouldn’t mind coming back there and eating.

sweet and sour chicken

So I have been cooking more and more recently in this has to be one of my favorite dishes I have made lately it is sweet-and-sour chicken with the vietnamese basil. First I marinated the chicken then I fried it once then breaded the chicken fried it again then sautéed the chicken was sweet-and-sour garlic and basil. This turned out really good. Can’t wait to make it again.

Went to Krispy Kreme’s with Darren and it up buying a couple of donuts wanted to take a cool photo so I decided to stack donuts on top of each other and hopefully They would not fall. So I started stacking them and soon everyone and Krispy Kreme Was looking at me ahah I think the photo came out pretty good. I know if I seen the photo I would want some donuts.

Basketball / EASTER / RESTORATION PROJECT / SHOES

Haven’t been doing blog updates in a while since I had to renew my Flickr account. I have been preoccupied with school and other stuff but I finally got some time to renew my account and Upload some photos, I am slowly but surely going to be updating my blog every other day I hope.

Four out of the five days of the week I play basketball. I started playing a while back seriously but the past year and a half I have taken it you more serious and also want to be in shape. After my 24 membership ended I decided to just go to open gyms and hoop because that’s what I would do when I go to 24 anyways for the most part.

Woke up early and took a trip to Sacramento to my aunts house for Easter. It’s starting to become a smaller family gathering since a lot of us are away at school. But still good to see some of the family. Both of my aunties are born on the same day but different years so we celebrated their birthday after dinner.

thai food

Decided to head to Walnut Creek to try this Thai restaurant initially we were going to go to this restaurant in Alameda but did not happen so instead we tryed Kacha Thai bistro. When we got there the restaurant was not really cool at all and made me suspicious on if it was good or not facility after sitting down and I turned around the whole restaurant was full so that was a good sign. I ordered

deep-fried chicken wings served with sweet garlic sauce for a appetizer

And pineapple fried rice with chicken for dinner.

I think the restaurant was pretty good but I have had better pineapple fried rice in Berkeley so this would not be a first choice to come back to this restaurant but it isn’t bad. I would rate this restaurant from the food I had a B- or C+ at the most the presentation was well done but the food wasn’t all that great. But don’t take it for me to go try it for yourself.

BAY AREA NIGHT SHOOT PART 2

This is part two of my San Francisco skyline project. The first shots I took of the bay bridge came out really great so I decided to drive over the bridge and go to Highway 101 Overpass to try to capture better images. When I got there it was pretty cold and I wanted to make this a quick trip so I did not take as many photos as I thought I would have. So I only took about 10 to 15 photos and narrowed it down to about six photos. The first photo of San Francisco and Highway 101 with the car light-rail has to be one of my favorite photos I have taken this year and maybe one of the best photos I’ve taken ever. That’s just my opinion but I really like this photo and probably will get it framed and put it in my room.

BAYY AREA NIGHT SHOOT

I have been wanting to go back and take a photo of the San Francisco skyline along with the bridge at night ever since I came up here and take some nice photos. So this is part one of the San Francisco skyline shoot. I ended up coming up here kind of late and it was really cold and dark but I expected that. It was a interesting. Experience taking this photo since I was taking it by myself Basically and when I was taking a photo from the east side of the bay bridge which has the new bridge almost done randomly out of nowhere a dog shows up. But I didn’t care I just wanted to get the shot and leave but soon after his owners showed up as well. After going and taking the east side of the bay bridge I went to the Westside I have wanted to get a certain angle Of the bay bridge but didn’t accomplish what I initially wanted since I could barely see even know I had a flashlight just wasn’t powerful enough but I think the photos came out pretty good anyways enjoy the photos part two coming soon.

bay bridge led show

Decided to go to the bay bridge for the LED lighting. I heard about it on the news and  became more interested in it when a couple
of my friends told me about it. Even though the lights have been tested for a couple of weeks I have not seen it yet so I decided
to go. So I took BART and met up with Rolo along with meeting Dillian. After getting there Shortly after nikk came to shoot with us as well
but decided to leave since the show was taking too long and it started to rain. The rain started to pour
and wave started to crash into the pier and I got soaked I decided I was not going to leave and was going to get a
photo by any means necessary aha But it was Discouraging  after I got soaked finally the lights came on and I got a couple
of photos but it was hard since it started to rain and my lands got wet.

Later that week I convince Mary to go to San Francisco to try this burger spot call superduper burger I’ve passed by it many times and never tried it
but I was in the mood for a burger so we ended up going. Once we got to this place it was pretty much empty which I did not mind
since people would not really staring at me because I know I was going to take photos aha
I ordered a

super burger with bacon and garlic fries.

I would say this burger was a top-five all time burger for me
Maybe I was just hungry but it was really good
I will be coming to the spot sooner then later.

We had a assignment which I did not have to do that have to do with shapes and other things that are born to me so she put us in groups and we had a discussion lately we have been having discussions on how to describe our photography two people that have never seen it and I think it has helped me alot on speech skills and descriptions.

And for a entrée I made Ace stuffed baked potato with cheese, Basil onions cream cheese and bacon. Was thinking about selling my back WorkPro but probably will keep it until they come out with something that it’s worth selling. But I do have to replace the battery and my track pad. jordan royal 1 2001 vs 2013 comparison

First of all want to start of and say this is going to be my first Comparing jordan retros. I decided to do this comparison since this is one of my favorite Jordan one colorways. My favorite colorway from the ones are the bred AKA banned.

I was lucky enough to win two raffles for the 2013 royal blue ones with the help of Mary. I’m not a reseller so I will probably hold on to both of the shoes unless the price is right. Let’s get into the comparison.

The 2001 royal blue ones are Made in the era when Jordan Brand produce quality shoes. Nowadays Jordan Brand releases and produces shoes that will cause the most hype and it doesn’t matter on the quality because people will still pay top dollar for a pair of Jordans. Such as the Jordans that come out around Christmas anyways.

The 2001 release came with a retro card and a Jordan jumpman keychain.

Another difference is the classic Jordan face box. The 2013 version is a retro Of the 1985 box. I would love to have a comparison of the 1985 royal blue but I don’t so this is the closest comparison I can do. I’m not sure on the retail price but I have an idea it was either between $79 and $120 in 2001. The 2013 retail price is $140.

colorway black/royal blue
year of release 2001

style code 555088 085
colorway black/varsity royal-black
year of release 2013

On the 2001 pair the Insole has a jumpman logo and on the 2013 pair it has a Nike air logo Also the lining on the 2001 pair Has more cushioning and is better material than the 2013 pair.

Another difference is on the 2013 pair it is considered a high and the 2001 pair is considered a mid so you can see the Difference in height. The Nike sign on the 2001 pair is a suede material and on the 2013 pair it is more of a leather material.

Overall my thoughts on the 2013 pair is it was a must cop for me because it’s one of my favorite Jordans that have ever came out. The material and craftsmanship of the shoe is pretty good I have to say made way better then most of the shoes that come out nowadays besides some quick strike releases this is a premium quality shoe for the year 2013 made by Jordan brand/ nike. I would rate the 2001 pair a 9 out of 10 and the 2013 pair 8.5 out of 10.

san francisco zoo + the week

Decided to take a trip to the San Francisco zoo for Jaythen birthday. I haven’t been to this zoo since I was in elementary school. Zoos are extremely boring to me since every time I go the animals are lazy and sleeping but I know the zoo is fun for kids. Well when we got to the zoo I ended up getting in for free. That was nice. I would’ve loved to get a nice picture of lion but they were all asleep so that didn’t happen but I did get a couple of nice pictures of animals such as Kawala bear, Golden Eagle, Pink flamingo, Zebras and a couple of peacocks that were walking around the zoo. I started seeing interesting flowers at the zoo and took a couple of photos this made me miss my macro lens to get lots of detail I might have to purchase one sooner or later. After leaving the zoo went to off the grid in downtown Oakland. Off the grid is usually in San Francisco on Friday night but since 2013 have changed their locations and it’s different now. I wish it was more trucks and variety but nonetheless the food is good.

Later in the week I want to Kincaid for a late dinner after watching the 49ers lose the Super Bowl. The food was great here but overpriced which was expected.Later that week I made dinner for my mom for Valentine’s Day also made dessert.
